HD Brows

Hello everyone and welcome!

First of all I never understood why people went to a professional salon to get their eyebrows done!? I mean you can just do a good a job at home right?....NO WRONG!

Why that thought ever crossed my mind is beyond me now! I'm sure some people just have fabulous eyebrows or even have the ability to make their own eyebrows look amazing- this however is not me.

I started getting my eyebrows done at a salon around one and half years ago, and I have them HD.

So what is HD brows?!

First of all I had a consultation in which she showed me styles of eyebrows and asked which I would prefer. I like defined eyebrows, but everyone is different. The treatment takes between 30-45 minutes, and consists of tinting your eyebrows to make all the littler hairs become darker to give your eyebrows a fuller look, then she begins waxing and then threading to the shape that you would prefer.

The HD will help shape the eyebrow to the look you hope to achieve, my eyebrows were heavily plucked in some areas and so out of shape and therefore it took a couple of sessions to get the look I wanted to achieve, however they are now exactly how I would like them.

To anyone who wants to try HD brows first of all... go and check the salon out on the official HD website .... http://hdbrows.com/salon-finder.html  as HD brows are expensive... and if your paying for a service it should be legitimate.

My friend had a bad experience with a salon claiming their staff are HD trained and they were not, which lead to them ruining her brows- so be extra careful!

There's 3 different types of HD brow training, the lowest being Stylist, the middle being Pro Stylist and the highest trained being Master Stylist.

It just happens that the closest salon who does HD brows is in fact a Master Stylist, which she explained that she just had more training than other people.

My vote for #ITBAG2015 and why - Vouge

Hello & welcome! :)

I was SO excited to see that Vogue have provided a readers choice for which bag should be crowned the historical 'IT' bag for 2015! I love how fashion has become so digital and interactive for the consumer, as I would NEVER be able to afford these bags in a million years (but we can all dream) and yet it is still accessible for me to have my opinion- it will give an opportunity for reaching a wider audience therefore showing which bag really deserves the title!

I opened the page and was greeted by the countdown page until the vote with begin with the #ITBAG2015, this instantly peaked my interest to search through all the bags and pick my favourite! I scrolled through all of the bags to decide and no surprise all of the bags are absolutely beautiful- with some amazing innovative ideas which I loved! It took a while but I finally narrowed my choice down to two immediate favourites:

1. Candidate #1: Valentino, Top Handle Bag

How amazing is this bag!? It is so beautifully designed and I love how it would stand out in an outfit but would not over (flower) power it!

The bag in my opinion seems to be 60's-70's inspired with the shapes and designs very similar to the style in that era, and the bags tagline being "flower power to the people" - AMAZING and is so clever to market the bag this way, as the people after all will be deciding #ITBAG2015!

I love that the colours in this bag are earth tones compared to the 60's-70's renown bright colours, as this will make the bag more versatile and it puts a twist for the new style of flower power.

I think of  the bright colours from the original 60's-70's are colours you would find in a tropical exotic forest where you travelled to specifically to view. Whereas the new style is almost like amazing flowers blooming from an woodland which you accidently stumbled across but is equally as breath-taking if not more due to the unexpected aspect.

I can not believe how accurately the ad campaign demonstrated what I felt when I saw this bag, with the large white flowers, woodland and just stumbling across the bag, it made the bag seem magical almost like it was made by Valentino woodland Fairies!

The style of this bag seems to be practical and I could envisage this bag becoming popular among the rich and famous as a medium-sized practical bag with a twist, and will add an extra "kick" to an outfit!

Overall this bag is absolutely beautiful and I'm sure even if it isn't crowned the 'it' bag it will still be a must have bag of 2015 to those who could afford it!

2. Candidate #8: Céline, Curve Bag

When I first saw this bag it instantly caught my eye!!

I LOVE the fact it is simple in style but stands out due to the unusual curve shape and design- it still manages to catch my eye more than some of the other 'brighter' or 'louder' bags because it is very futurist in design but  still has a real emphasis on elegance and simplicity, which I think is representative of the Céline brand.

The campaign ad is total genius! What speaks 2015 like social interaction via technology?! This era is known for it's digital world! The ad displays a message between two people discussing how this bag deserves the title! I think it's a very relatable as when I love something I would share it to my friends and send messages very similar like "look at these shoes I've just brought!!" or "How amazing is this dress?" therefore I think it would subliminally activate the same emotion from the person who watches this ad of when they have previously sent a similar message of something that they LOVED, and promote the bag to be loved equally!  Inventive but simple- similar to the bag itself- perfect representation.

When I left the Vogue page this is the bag I remembered the most. I think the reason is because it's unexpected!!! I don't automatically associate that image with a bag!? It is so innovative in design! If  I just saw that picture I would assume it was something to do with horses perhaps... However it's just such a understated statement piece definitely aligning with the bags tagline: "The shape of things to come!!

I think this bag would appeal to everyone!! It's simple yet it is still such a statement piece due to the unique curve shape! I can imagine this bag to be a popular favourite with the Kardashian and Jenner clan, as well as other celebrities!


FINALLY my vote!!! I will be voting for Candidate #8: Céline, Curve Bag- I just could not forget this bag and I think the total uniqueness inspires and will continue to inspire in 2015!



I wish all the designers the best of luck as all the bags were beautiful!!

Ciaté Mini Mani Manor Advent Calendar Holiday 2014 Review!

Today I am going to be reviewing the amazing Ciaté Mini Mani Manor Advent Calendar Holiday 2014!!

 

I have never had the pleasure of owning any Ciaté nail polishes before, as I mainly get my nails done at a salon. Although when I was travelling to Cardiff me and my boyfriend stopped off at the service station- and I couldn't help but look at all the free goodies in the magazines and I found a mini Ciaté nail polish with a magazine, It was the last one left but I decided against buying it (I am trying to save for a fiat 500!) but trust me after walking around with the magazine, putting it down and picking It back up I was VERY tempted!

My sister surprised me with the Ciaté  Mini Mani Manor Advent Calendar after Christmas as a gift as it had dropped to nearly half price (AMAZING!) Click here for the link to buy the calendar nearly half price

The first thing that caught my eye was the packaging itself! I love the fact that it's shaped like a manor- it reminds me of a dollhouse! When I first opened it to find all the different numbers I
had to open it in order like I would've on Christmas but of course this was done in around 10 minutes rather than 24 days!

 

 

I like the fact that the mini bottles are all curved and look beautiful as a display piece- as they all match and have a variety of different colours, textures and glitters! I like to display my collection in an acrylic nail varnish display from amazon- they just look to beautiful to store away in a cupboard!

I can not believe how much of a bargain this product was when I began to discover how many nail polishes there are- and they are such a wide variety from blacks, greys, blues, pinks, golds, glitters, nail stickers and beautiful nail pearls!!!

My personal favourites for this season are:

Polishes:

Mineral Clarity-

This is a gorgeous dark blue glittery colour polish with speckles of silver and green! I think this would look amazing for this time of year, as its dark wintery colour but the added sparkle for the party season!

                                       


Silhouette-

A dark red cranberry polish with a subtle hint of tiny gold glitter! It is just beautiful I'm sure this will become one of my favourites of 2015!! I always reach for a burgundy type colour when I pick my colour at the salon and I think this is just the most gorgeous shade and colour and will go far in my collection!

Velvet Tuxedo-

This colour is a metallic dark steel colour, I think this would look perfect with a glitter over the top to really extenuate the metallic-ness (if that's a word) in the polish! I like the fact that its an alternative form the black but will still give the dramatic affect a black would!

 

Sharp Tailoring-

This is the first polish I tried out, its a very simple light grey colour with a very slight glitter finish!! It looks beautiful and I again think this would look amazing with a glitter over the top to give it the extra notch in the glitter factor, also I think it would look beautiful with the pearls!! Amazing colour and would go with most outfits I own!

Glitters:

Frozen Daydream-

This is a bright blue glitter which can be put over a varnish to give an amazing bright blue glittery affect! I have never tried a glitter before and would be interested to see how easy it is to apply and how much of a mess it will make! But I just love the tones to this colour and think it will give a sparkle to any nail look.

Slumber Party-

A beautiful dark steel glitter with tints of blue, green, silver and gold glitter - absolutely gorgeous and would look fab on just one nail or them all, this is one of my favourite colours out of the whole collection it is simple but stands out from the crowd which I tend to go for when thinking of a nail colour.

After trying these beautiful polishes I can totally see why they are so popular.. even among celebrities, as it is reported that Kate Moss, Blake Lively and even Rihanna are fans of Ciaté! They are so versatile and products are so pigmented and in style!

After trying just one polish I had to go to the website to see if I could find any more wonderful items- and by gosh I couldn't believe that I  managed to get 24 products for £27!!!! on the website the minis are selling for £5 each or 3 for £12!!!

You can totally tell these products are luxury nail varnishes with the style and detail of the individual bottles and packaging, not to mention the beautiful shades and variety of colours it just screams luxurious.

I would 100% recommend all of there products and also make very cute gifts for friends and family! :)

My first Post!

Hello Everyone, welcome and thank you for visiting!

The reason I've began this blog is because my Mum and Sister have many hobbies such as sewing, cross stitch and other craft activities, however I have never been that interested in spending hours joining in. Although I have been determined to find a hobby that I can enjoy and can really get involved with. I would always moan if I have a spare hour or two and Netflix has lost it's appeal that I was bored. They would always recommend different hobbies and I would take it up for a while, but then I would get disinterested or circumstances would change.

HOWEVER... I know it sounds cliché but I just love beauty/fashion, and with my spare time that I used to be bored I now spend watching/reading beauty and fashion blogs/vlogs- and they are just so addictive (and I'm pretty sure if you have ever watched/read them you will understand!).

I absolutely love Carli Byble and Kandee Johnson!

One of my friend's posted her blog on Facebook, and was thrilled with the amount of people that was visiting her blog! I clicked on the link, and just was so inspired to begin my own blog! I then began reading up about blogging and it immediately sparked my interest and I realised I've finally found a hobby I can really begin to indulge in and hopefully I will give you as a reader something to take away when reading my blog.
